Doors will be opening at at 8:00 am, and we'll be putting the finishing touches on the set up, so if you are available, and willing, please feel free to show up early
9:00 am - “Heavy Metal” Sabre rules, judging briefing, final gear check
9:30 am - “Heavy Metal” Sabre tournament start
2:00 pm - Break for lunch
3:00 pm - “Accessories Included” Sword + rules, judging briefing, final gear check,
3:30 pm - “Accessories Included” Sword + tournament start
6:00-7:00 pm - Closing awards, announcements, and event breakdown
7:30 pm - Dinner, Location TBD

Military Sabre - Dueling Sabres cooler older brother. This isn’t your grand daddies Sabre. Actually wait yes it is. This tournament is meant to highlight the varied military sabre techniques used throughout the late 18th to mid 19th centuries. With a rule set developed to encourage clean exchanges and safe fencing
725g with a maximum blade length of no more than 35 inches (including ricasso)
Hard cap of 48 fighters
This event will be rated on HEMA ratings. -
You have a whole other hand… you might as weld something cool with it. This tournament pairs up mixed historical single-handed swords against a fighter’s choice of off-hand devices: cloak, dagger, buckler, or targe.
Swords must be over 725g with a maximum blade length of no more than 36 inches (including ricasso)
Hard cap of 32 fighters
This event will be NOT rated on HEMA ratings, as it is a mixed weapons event.

Steel Jam V will be held on May 31, 2025, at the Clermont City Center. the address is 620 W Montrose St, Clermont, FL.
Doors open at 8am for set up. The event will run from 9am-6pm. Breakdown is from 6pm-7pm. Help is always appreciated for set up and break down, if attendees have time.
After breakdown, we usually go to Suncreek Brewery, which is very nearby.
